Northwest Florida · Same-day service

Every door has a story. Yours ends today.

Snapped springs, openers that quit, doors off their track or hanging crooked in the opening. We read what the hardware is telling us, put the repair in writing, and finish it at your door — usually the same day you call.

What we do

The five jobs that fill our week

Residential and commercial, from a single snapped spring to a rolling steel door on a warehouse bay. Every technician carries the parts for all five.

01Service

Garage Door Repair

Doors that stick, slam, reverse on their own or come off the rails. We test the whole system before touching a part, because the noise you hear is rarely where the fault is.

  • Off-track and bent panel correction
  • Frayed cable and drum replacement
  • Hinge, bracket and roller service
02Service

Garage Door Installation

Steel, aluminum, wood and full-view glass, measured on site and built for Florida weather — including wind-load rated models where county code calls for them.

  • Measured and quoted on site
  • Insulated and impact-rated options
  • Old door hauled away the same day
03Service

Garage Door Springs

The loud bang almost everyone hears first. Torsion and extension springs replaced with high-cycle stock, always in pairs so the door stays balanced on both sides.

  • Torsion and extension replacement
  • High-cycle stock on every truck
  • Balance and tension set before we leave
04Service

Garage Door Openers

Chain, belt and screw drives diagnosed down to the board. When a unit is worth saving we save it; when it is not, we say so and show you why.

  • Logic board, gear and motor repair
  • Safety sensor alignment
  • Remote, keypad and app setup
05Service

Overhead Doors

Rolling steel, sectional and high-cycle commercial systems for storefronts, warehouses and HOA properties, plus scheduled maintenance for property managers.

  • Rolling steel and sectional service
  • Loading dock and high-cycle springs
  • Preventive maintenance schedules
How we work

Real parts, written scope, one visit

Most of what fails on a Northwest Florida garage door fails early because somebody fitted inland hardware three blocks from the ocean. We do the opposite, and we tell you what we are doing before we do it.

Parts that survive the salt

Galvanized springs, stainless fasteners and sealed rollers as standard within a few miles of the water. Inland hardware rusts out here and we stopped fitting it years ago.

The truck carries the job

Springs, cables, rollers, hinges, drums, boards and the common opener models ride with every technician, which is why most calls end the day they start.

Written before it is done

You get the scope in writing before a tool comes off the truck. If we open the door and find something else, we stop and rewrite it — never after the fact.

The visit

Four steps, no surprises

The same sequence on a Tuesday morning and at two in the morning on a holiday.

01

Tell us what it does

Stuck, loud, crooked, reversing? Describe it on the phone and we load the parts for that failure before we roll.

02

We come to you

The technician arrives in the window you picked. Every repair happens at your door — nobody has to drive anywhere.

03

Full system check

Springs, cables, drums, tracks, rollers, opener and the safety reverse. All of it, not just the part that failed.

04

Repair, test, clean up

We finish the work, balance the door by hand, test the reverse under load and take the old parts with us.

Who we are

A crew that reads the door before it quotes it

Fable Garage Door Repair started with one technician, one truck and a habit of telling people the truth about their door. He had spent years watching homeowners get sold a whole new opening when a forty-dollar roller was the actual fault, and he built the company around the opposite instinct: diagnose the door that is in front of you, write down the repair it genuinely needs, and do nothing until the customer has said yes to it.

The name stuck because every door has a story you can read off the hardware. A spring that snapped after twenty years of a family of five coming and going. Cables pitted by nothing but ocean air. A track bent the week someone learned to reverse. Our technicians read that first and quote second, which is why so many of our calls end up cheaper and shorter than the customer expected.

What the driveway conversation sounds like after

Real jobs, real neighborhoods — names shortened for privacy.

“Heard the bang Sunday night, called at seven the next morning and had a tech in the driveway before ten. He explained why both springs get replaced together instead of just the broken one, which nobody had ever told me before.”

Carla M.Pace · Spring replacement

“Our old chain-drive opener was grinding for months before it finally quit. Turned out the logic board was shot, not the motor, and they had the part on the truck. Quieter than it has ever been.”

Robert D.Crestview · Opener repair

“Needed a wind-load rated door for an Escambia County inspection and honestly expected the permit paperwork to be a headache. They pulled it, scheduled the inspector and I did not have to make a single phone call myself.”

Priya K.Pensacola · New door installation

“Door came off the track after a storm and was jammed half open. Tech got it back on and squared up same afternoon, and pointed out a bent hinge that would have failed again in a month. Small ding on scheduling but the fix was solid.”

Mike T.Navarre · Off-track repair

“Twenty-year-old builder rollers finally gave out. The technician showed me the actual worn parts before replacing them, which I appreciated after getting quoted a whole new door somewhere else for the same noise.”

Sandra V.Milton · Roller & hinge service

“Door would not close at eleven at night with the car stuck outside. Someone actually picked up, not a voicemail, and had it secured within the hour. Came back the next day to finish the repair properly.”

Questions

What people ask before they book

The questions our technicians hear most often on Northwest Florida driveways.

How fast can someone get to me?

Most of the coverage area gets same-day service, and emergency calls are usually handled within a few hours. We dispatch from our Milton location with trucks already staged and stocked, so a technician is usually on the road within the hour.

The door made a loud bang and now it will not open. What happened?

That is almost always a torsion spring. The door is suddenly far heavier than the opener was built to lift, so do not keep pressing the button — you will burn out the motor on top of the spring. Tell us the door width and roughly how old it is and the right spring rides out with the technician.

Can I replace a broken spring myself?

We would strongly advise against it. A torsion spring holds enough energy to break bones when it lets go, and setting one needs winding bars and correct tension. It is the most common do-it-yourself garage door injury and a technician can do it safely in well under an hour.

Do you install hurricane-rated doors?

Yes. We install wind-load and impact-rated doors that meet Florida Building Code requirements for the wind-borne debris region covering Escambia, Santa Rosa and Okaloosa County, including products with current Florida Product Approval. We pull the permit and meet the inspector.

Do you work on commercial buildings and HOA properties?

We do — rolling steel, sectional commercial doors, gate operators and high-cycle systems, plus scheduled preventive maintenance for property managers, warehouses and condo associations.

Can I come to your office?

There is nobody at the counter to help you — our Milton address is a dispatch and parts-staging point, not a showroom. Everything happens at your property instead: we measure on site, bring the parts and do the work at your door.

Is the work guaranteed?

Every repair and installation carries a written workmanship warranty. The term depends on the component and your technician lists it on the paperwork before you sign anything.
